Fossil of new amphibian unearthed

The fossil discovery is the first in Western Pennsylvania of a new group and species of carnivorous amphibian that lived about 300 million years ago. Scientists named it Fedexia striegeli for FedEx, the company that owns the land where Striegel discovered the fossil, and its finder.
