Church hosts Saturday breakfast
An "all you can eat" homemade breakfast will be served 6:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church, 1006 Butler Road, Kittanning. The menu includes pancakes, buckwheat cakes, sausage, eggs, home fries, French toast, juice and coffee. The cost is $5.
Care, Share Shop open Friday
The Care and Share Shop at the Ford Memorial United Methodist Church will be open noon-2 p.m. Friday. Gently used clothing will be sold. Proceeds benefit missions. The church is handicap accessible and is at 1024 Fourth Ave., Ford City. For information call 724-763-1540.
Cash bash in Kittanning Township
The Kittanning Township Fire Department and the PA Red Knights Motorcycle Club Chapter 16 will hold its first cash bash Saturday at the Kittanning Township fire hall. The doors will open at 6 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for the 21 and older crowd. There will be Chinese auction, bingo, fundraiser drawings and additional games. The donation is $10. Bus trip planned to Washington D.C.
A bus trip to Washington D.C. will be held on April 5. The cost is $55 for adults and $50 for children 3-11 and includes transportation and tour of Arlington National Cemetery. The tour will include war memorials while the Smithsonian, other monuments and sights are self-guided. The bus departs the Yatesboro Presbyterian Church at 5:30 a.m. and arrival home is 12:30 a.m. April 6. Meals are on your own with a comfort stop on the way, lunch on the way, and dinner during the return trip. The deadline is March 1 with no refunds after the deadline. Community forums on aging set to begin
The Armstrong County Area Agency on Aging is seeking input from older adults, social service agencies, businesses and community members for their four-year plan (2008-12).
Community forums will be held at 11 a.m. at the following locations: Wednesday, Bradys Bend Senior Center; Feb. 26, Leechburg Senior Center; Feb. 27, Worthington Senior Center; Feb. 28, Distant Senior Center; March 3, Ford City Senior Center; March 4, Rural Valley Senior Center. Ford City VFW to host country band
The Ford City Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4843 will host the Good Old Boys Country Band from

• Disaster Relief of Armstrong County will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Grace Lutheran Church, Manorville. The discussion will include upcoming dance, fire victims and possible guest speakers.
