Motorists should prepare for road closures around the county this weekend.

On the North Shore, traffic on the ramps connecting the outbound, upper deck of the Fort Duquesne Bridge to the Parkway North will be restricted to a single lane this weekend, PennDOT officials said.

From 7 p.m. tonight to 7 p.m. tomorrow, the right lane will be closed while contractors are paving. In addition, the existing closure of the ramp from the Fort Pitt Bridge to the 10th Street Bypass will continue through August 13, so crews can safely work on the roadway overhead.

Motorists are urged to use caution and expect delays. The work is part of the $23.3 million, stimulus-funded project to extend the life of the Fort Duquesne Bridge.

In Harmar, the westbound side of Route 910 will be closed to traffic in Indiana Township and Harmar this weekend for reconstruction, officials said.

From 7 p.m. tonight through 6 a.m. Monday, the westbound lanes between the ramps for southbound Route 28 and Locust Hill Road will be closed while crews from Imperial-based Golden Triangle Construction Company, Inc. remove and rebuild the pavement and sub-base.

Separate detours will be posted for trucks and passenger vehicles.

In Robinson, expect delays tonight and tomorrow morning on the Parkway West, which PennDOT officials said will be restricted to a single lane in each direction in Robinson.

From 10 p.m. tonight to noon tomorrow, crews will be sawing and sealing the pavement between the Steubenville Pike and Robinson Towne Center interchanges. If the work can't be finished Friday, similar restrictions will occur Saturday night into Sunday morning.

The work is part of the $13.7 million project to improve the busy Route 22/30/60 Interchange. Drivers are advised to expect delays, allow extra time and consider alternative routes.
