Sen. Hillary Clinton is bringing her presidential campaign to Fayette County Monday.
The former first lady, who is favored to win the Pennsylvania's Democratic primary against Sen. Barack Obama, is scheduled to have a rally at the Penn State Fayette campus in North Union.
Fayette County Commissioner Vince Zapotosky said Clinton will speak at the main arena of the campus community center. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the rally is scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
"This candidate realizes the importance the vote in Fayette County will have in the April 22 primary," Zapotosky said. "This is the first time in a while Pennsylvania has been in play."
County Democrats said the last presidential candidate to visit Fayette County was Democrat Hubert Humphrey in 1972.
Fred Lebder, chairman of the county party, introduced Humphrey on the steps of the old courthouse.
"I think it's great for the county to be exposed to a presidential candidate," Lebder said.
