School: Andrea will be a senior at Avonworth High School this fall.

Clubs/organizations: During the school year, she's enrolled in an independent study program at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera Academy. She also does an apprenticeship at the Pittsburgh Public Theatre. She was a Gene Kelly nominee for Best Actress for her role as the witch in Avonworth's production of "Into the Woods." She has been the president of her class since her freshman year and belongs to a number of choirs, including the Avonworth High School Chorus, which helped her qualify for the Pennsylvania Music Education Association's state competition this year.

Noteworthy: Andrea just completed a two-week summer program at Lincoln Park as part of the Pennsylvania Summer School of the Arts. She is finishing a six-week internship with the Carnegie Mellon University Pre-College Summer Program for musical theater. She was invited to be an intern after participating as a student in the program last summer.

Quote: "Whether I'm watching, performing, or studying the art of performance, it never fails to entertain every emotion in my being. It has become a part of my heart and soul."
