The Community College of Allegheny County has added two new board members this fall: Amy M. Kuntz and Joseph G. Brimmeier.
Kuntz is a senior vice president and market director for PNC Institutional Investments in the Greater Pittsburgh Metro area, the school announced this morning.
Kuntz chairs the PNC's Charitable Trust Committee, which oversees grant distributions for more than 30 charitable trusts, the release said. Prior to serving as market director in Pittsburgh, she served in the same capacity in Washington, D.C., as part of PNC's acquisition of Riggs Bank.
Kuntz has a Pennsylvania teaching certificate and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts in education from Westminster College in 1995.
Brimmeier is the chief executive of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, the school said in a statement. He has more than 30 years of government experience at the local, state and federal levels.
Brimmeier's past positions include Monroeville municipal manager, state deputy auditor general and chief of staff for former U.S. Rep. Ron Klink.
He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Youngstown State University.
CCAC also announced it has named five new members to its Educational Foundation Board.
The foundation raises funds for scholarships, college programs and advocates for CCAC in the community.
The new board members are Jesse Campayno, a veteran of the plumbing industry for more than three decades and a 1981 CCAC alumnus; Stephen D'Angelo, a veteran executive of many companies and graduate of Providence College; Peter DeComo, a veteran healthcare industry executive and a CCAC and University of Pittsburgh alum; Jerry Lopes, a veteran radio journalist who attended Johnson & Wales Junior College in Rhode Island and Boston University; and Sharon McGinnis Young, a part owner of the McGinnis Sisters Specialty Food Store and CCAC alum.
