A landscaper is accused of shooting his client after a fight at the landscaper's house early Sunday.
Kenneth Kearns, 45, of Kearns Landscaping is accused of wounding Joseph Piole, 44, in Kearns' house at 80 Mountainview Road near Route 910, police said.
Piole, of Old State Road, Wexford, was hit in his chest, arm and leg.
Police said the shooting happened just before 1:45 a.m. inside Kearns' upstairs game room.
Piole was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
On Monday he was listed in serious condition in the hospital's trauma unit.
Allegheny County police Superintendent Charles Moffatt said Kearns is charged with aggravated assault.
He said the investigation is continuing and other charges are possible.
Police said Kearns called 911 after the shooting and waited for police and an ambulance to arrive.
His pistol was found in the house.
Moffatt said a motive hasn't been established for the shooting.
Kearns was arraigned at Allegheny County night court by District Judge Elissa M. Lang, Sharpsburg, and released on a non-monetary bond.
He was further instructed to visit the county's behavioral clinic, a night court employee said Monday.
Kearns' preliminary hearing will be scheduled in the offices of District Judge Suzanne R. Blaschak at West Deer.
