The Allegheny County Bar Association has won a 2008 Luminary Award for communications excellence offered by the National Association of Bar Executives.
The award recognizes "That's No Joke," an illustrated children's book written by Tom Loftus, the bar association's director of marketing and media relations.
It was edited by attorney Jennifer A. Pulice, director of communications, and illustrated by Christopher Mikolqjczk, a designer with Pentagon Printing Corp. in Crafton.
The book reinforces the bar association's "This is a Joke -- Making Fun of Others is Not!" program attorneys present to children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
