Visitors to the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh this weekend can create colorful castles to celebrate a Polish tradition.

Both adults and kids can construct szopkas, architectural sculptures pronounced "shop-kah," during Cracow Castles Weekend. Activities take place from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. David Motak, a szopkas expert, will be teaching visitors how to transform simple materials like wood, paper and foil into whimsical folk sculptures.

Admission is included with general museum admission, but registration is required. Each child much register with an adult. Details: 412-322-5058, ext. 201.
