Airport festival marks Indiana anniversary
The Jimmy Stewart Airport Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday. On display will be an Air Force C-47 from the Yankee Air Museum, the corporate jet for Reschini Insurance Agency Inc., and a Cessna aircraft used by the state Bureau of Aviation to track wildlife.
Airplane rides will be available to youths ages 8-17 for free. Adults may take a plane ride for a fee.
Other features of the festival include a demonstration by a drug task force dog at 10 a.m. Saturday, radio-controlled airplane demonstrations at 1 and 2 p.m., a pancake breakfast hosted by the Civil Air Patrol from 8-11 a.m. on both days, food vendors, and hay rides.
