A new pitch for money will soon be seen on WQEX (Channel 16).
WQED Multimedia has signed a three-year affiliate agreement with TV and Web retailer HSN to broadcast its "America's Store" shopping network on WQEX beginning May 1.
WQEX will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week with "America's Store," but the station will air commercials and promotional spots for WQED products and programs. WQEX will also continue to air select hours of children's programs, as well as shows such as "On Q Magazine" and "Off Q."
