UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Islanders defenseman Adrian Aucoin was awarded a one-year, $4.25 million contract at an arbitration hearing Saturday.
He earned $3.25 million last season when he finished with a career-high 44 points (13 goals, 31 assists) in 81 games.
"Adrian has been an outstanding player for us and he definitely deserved a raise," Islanders general manager Mike Milbury. "We're looking forward to another excellent season from Adrian."
