MONONGAHELA - A Mt. Pleasant woman will stand trial in Washington County after being arrested for fleeing to Maryland with her year-old son.

District Justice Marjorie Teagarden , of Monongahela, ordered Jessica Lee Furlong, 23, held for court on a charge of concealment of the whereabouts of a child after a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Furlong is charged with taking Noah Anthony Harris from their Mt. Pleasant home in August. Police allege that Furlong took the baby and left the area because she feared the child's father, David Andrako, of Monongahela, would gain custody of the child.

Andrako was granted full physical custody of Noah on Sept. 15 by Washington County Judge Mark Mascara. However, Furlong did not attend the custody hearing and the last time the Andrako family saw the baby was in late August.

A warrant was issued for Furlong's arrest in late September by Monongahela police. Noah's name and picture, along with his mother's photograph, eventually were placed on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's Web site, www.missingkids.com. These steps were taken once Andrako granted permission.

Andrako sought primary custody of the toddler in August and emergency custody in September. Both petitions were filed in Washington County Court.

Furlong and Harris were found Sept. 30 at an Econo Lodge in Frederick, Md.

Furlong remains in Washington County Prison on $10,000 straight bond.
