It's a new month, a new beginning, a time to leave winter behind and look ahead to spring. In other words IT'S TIME TO TAKE THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS DOWN.

St. Patrick's Day is on a Thursday. Before anyone else thinks of it, put in for a day off on March 18 to make it a 3 1/2-day weekend.
March 3
The Pirates open pre-season play against the Yankees in Tampa, 1:15 p.m. And it's on ESPN. Think spring!
