Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering in 1995 and a master's degree in robotics in 1998, both from Carnegie Mellon University.

Occupation: CEO of re2 (Robotics Engineering Excellence) Inc., a Lawrenceville company spun off by Carnegie Mellon University that specializes in defense-related projects, such as unmanned combat vehicles.

Noteworthy: The Technology Collaborative, a nonprofit economic development foundation, awarded a $200,000 research grant to develop a small stabilization platform for unmanned vehicles. The platform will be able to steadily hold a camera, directional antenna or laser inside a moving vehicle. The company plans to begin testing in June by putting the platform on an unmanned helicopter.
