Firm names marketing administrative assistant

Joy Holden joined The Fragasso Group as marketing department administrative assistant. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an office manager at Magdic Precision Tooling for more than a decade.

John A. Cochran joined Case I Sabatini as tax manager. He will specialize in tax planning, corporate formation, and estates and trusts.

  • The Webb Law Firm named Christian E. Schuster as a shareholder in the firm. He focuses his practice on patent law. He also is a major in the United States Air Force Reserve and serves as a civil engineer officer with the 911th Civil Engineer Squadron.

  • Frederick B. Goldsmith joined Blumling & Gusky as partner. He has practiced commercial, admiralty and maritime litigation for 14 years.

  • Joe Decker joined Babst, Calland, Clements and Zomnir as of counsel. He will focus his practice on business and intellectual property litigation.

  • Rob Merritt joined MARC USA as executive vice president and director of public relations. He brings more than 20 years experience in public relations. Previously, he served as senior vice president and chief operating officer at Barkley Evergreen & Partners Public Relations in Kansas City, Mo.

  • FSC Marketing Communications promoted Sarah Walluk Swartz to art director. She joined the company in 2002 as an intern and most recently served as graphic designer.

    The firm also hired Judy Antantis as senior copywriter and Anne Arndt as proofreader/editor.

  • Butler Medical Providers hired Janet Frings as practice administrator. Previously, she served as group practice manager at Alliance Ventures, a subsidiary of Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.

  • The Consumer Health Coalition appointed Chrisp Perry as advocacy director to address health disparities among minority and socio-economically disadvantaged people with cancer. Previously, he was a research assistant at the Center for Minority Health and the Center for Social and Urban Research, both at the University of Pittsburgh.

  • Jennifer Benger joined The Children's Institute as a behavioral psychologist. Previously, she was a clinical psychologist at Mowhawk Valley State Psychiatric Hospital and a consulting psychologist for The House of the Good Shepherd, both in Utica, N.Y.

  • Dr. John L. Happel joined Monongahela Valley Hospital as a cardiovascular surgeon. He also is affiliated with UPMC South Side, UPMC Presbyterian South Surgery Center and Canonsburg General Hospital.

  • Pittsburgh Child Guidance Foundation elected 2005 officers for its board of trustees: President Jane C. Burger, partner, Speedwell; Vice President Claudia L. Allen, chief financial officer, Port Authority of Allegheny County; Secretary Carolyn D. Duronio, market managing partner, Reed Smith; Treasurer Lloyd F. Stamy Jr., partner C.S. McKee.
