1910 film of Snow White found in Britain
A forgotten 1910 film of "Snow White" and other old films have been saved in Britain after being earmarked for destruction.
The discovery of dozens of films, along with a mix of professional and amateur footage in more than 600 cans, has been described by cinema specialists as a significant find, the Sunday Telegraph reported.
The film footage was found by the staff of London's Huntley Archive, stored in aircraft hangars in the south of England.
The 1910 French film adaptation of Snow White, entitled "The Little Snow White," is color tinted and has been described as lavish as the Walt Disney animated version made in 1937 -- except the seven dwarfs are played by children with makeshift beards.
