People in the news: No more Paris Hilton's underage boyfriend
Tao Asian Bistro in The Venetian and Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel received warning letters last month from the Clark County Business License Department after investigators determined that Stavros Niarchos, 19, was allowed into the clubs.
Hilton, co-star of "The Simple Life" reality series, recently celebrated her 25th birthday.
Both clubs were told they had violated county code, but were not issued citations because operators had cooperated with county agents, the letters said.
A security guard caught on a surveillance tape escorting the couple into the club was fired and the doorman who did not ask Niarchos for identification was suspended, said Jim Bowen, vice president and chief financial officer of the Hard Rock Hotel.
Several years ago, the resort made news when it ejected an underage Britney Spears.
Before heading to Body English, Niarchos had been denied entry to Tao. The club then opened an adjoining bistro and "effectively created a nightclub environment," Business License Director Jacqueline Holloway wrote to Tao co-owner Rich Wold.
"Tao maintains a strict door policy and the staff never allows patrons under the age of 21 into the nightclub, regardless of their celebrity or status," the club said in a statement.
Tao is not owned or operated by The Venetian hotel-casino.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Tyra Banks really throws herself into her job as a talk-show host, often in ways only a recently retired supermodel can.
On Wednesday's show, for instance, Banks will be shown going "undercover" as a stripper at a topless club, although the former Victoria's Secret model stops short of complete disclosure. In the past, she's posed as a Las Vegas showgirl and used her face as canvas for makeup lessons.
The stripper segment, she said, was the result of hearing friends and viewers express frustration about the men in their lives spending time and money in strip clubs.
"When I found out the majority of business is from males from married homes, I wanted to go inside the minds of the men who frequent these clubs. I wanted to see and hear why they went. And the only way to do that was to go undercover and see for myself," Banks said.
Having Banks strut her stuff incognito as a dancer can only be a ratings plus for the syndicated "The Tyra Banks Show," exactly the point in a sweeps month used to set local TV ad rates.
But Banks, 32, said she considers her program, which typically draws a heavily young and female audience, a vehicle to educate as well as entertain.
For one segment, she donned an elaborate disguise that turned her into a 350-pound woman and then ventured into stores and on blind dates to test people's reactions to obesity.
"I feel like it's the last form of discrimination that's openly acceptable. I wanted to experience that firsthand to share that with my audience," Banks said.
Before she jumped into the talk-show arena as host and producer, she successfully launched "America's Next Top Model," the UPN reality series that may end up with even more clout when the network merges with the WB to form the new CW network.
Did Banks imagine her career would extend beyond modeling?
"Yes," she said, laughing. "When I was 18 years old I was doing an interview for Italian television and I told them I was going to have my own talk show. I try to teach my girls on 'Top Model' that modeling is temporary and you have to find what your true passion is.'
"And I found out this is mine," Banks said of her daytime show.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Molly Ringwald will portray Charity Hope Valentine, the dance-hall hostess with the heart of gold, when "Sweet Charity" goes out on the road this fall.
It will be a touring production of the recent Broadway revival of the Cy Coleman-Dorothy Fields musical that starred Christina Applegate. It ended an eight-month New York engagement on New Year's Eve.
The tour, directed by Walter Bobbie, will open in San Diego. Exact dates and further casting will be announced.
Ringwald, who has appeared in films such as "Pretty in Pink," "The Breakfast Club" and "Sixteen Candles," has starred on Broadway in "Enchanted April" and as Sally Bowles in the long-running Roundabout Theatre Company revival of "Cabaret."

NEW YORK (AP) -- Hilary Swank will be both muse and spokesperson for a new women's fragrance by Guerlain to be launched later this year.
In making the announcement Monday, Guerlain described the 31-year-old actress, an Oscar winner for her roles in "Million Dollar Baby" and "Boys Don't Cry," as a "radiant and natural beauty" who does not conform to stereotypes.
"Her background of always opting for the more challenging and 'risky' roles coupled with her warm and genuine personality, a far cry from the usual Hollywood mold, were all factors that made her an obvious choice for Guerlain," the luxury French fragrance and beauty company said in a statement.
Guerlain said it has a three-year contract with Swank.
A spokeswoman for the company declined to comment Monday on the terms of the deal or the details of the fragrance.
Patti Hansen, who is married to Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones, and her daughters, Theodora and Alexandra Richards, represented Guerlain's musky fragrance Shalimar Light in 2004.
Other Oscar winners who have represented fragrances include Nicole Kidman for Chanel No. 5 and Gwyneth Paltrow for Estee Lauder's Pleasures.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Madonna says she's "strong again" after breaking nine bones in a horse riding accident at her country home outside London last year.
"Well, I did survive 2005," the pop diva says in an interview in the March issue of Harper's Bazaar, now on newsstands. "It was a very tumultuous year. I felt like I came out of my disco ball like most people get shot out of a cannon. Forget about riding a horse again -- I didn't know if I was going to be able to dance again."
Madonna suffered three cracked ribs, a broken collarbone and a broken hand after falling off a horse on her 47th birthday on Aug. 16.
"When I shot the video (for 'Hung Up') none of the bones had gone together. Pharmaceuticals and my will got me through the shoot. So to come out of that, I felt so much inspiration and so much joy just to have my body back and to feel strong again," she says.
Madonna says she stopped doing yoga while her shoulder was healing.
"I used to be a freak about doing yoga, but I had to do a lot of Pilates to rehab my shoulder joint and get the use of my arm back. So I started really getting into Pilates and dancing more," she says.
"My Pilates instructor was a dancer, so my workouts became much more ballet-oriented, rather than the visceral, gymnastic, Ashtanga yoga thing."
Madonna's love affair with Britain, where she lives with husband/filmmaker Guy Ritchie and her two children, continued as "Sorry," the second single from her "Confessions on a Dance Floor" album, shot straight to the top of the singles chart.
"Sorry" is her 12th British No. 1 and matches the success of her last release, "Hung Up," the Official UK Charts Co. said Sunday.
