Fayette City woman arrested for assault
A 28-year-old Fayette City woman has been charged with aggravated assault of an unborn child as a result of an incident that took place last week in Fayette City.
According to state police at the Belle Vernon barracks, Barbara Ann Kroskie went to the home of Jennifer Marie Muirhead, 38, of Fayette City, and accused Muirhead of stealing her boots.
An altercation ensued and Muirhead claimed that Kroskie grabbed her and threw her against a wall, causing her to fall down.
Kroskie then allegedly kicked Muirhead, who is seven months pregnant, in the stomach.
According to the state police report, Kroskie told Muirhead she would kill her and her baby.
Kroskie was arrested and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph George of South Union Township and taken to the Fayette County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
