Clinton woman shot when thrown shotgun fires

A Beaver County woman was shot in the upper thigh about 10:54 p.m. on Friday after a family member she was arguing with threw a loaded shotgun that discharged when it landed, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Eugenia M. Anderson, age unknown, of Clinton, was flown to a UPMC hospital, the release said.

Anderson and the other family member were arguing in their garage when the incident occurred, the release said. Police called the shooting accidental. Police did not know her medical condition as of 12:08 p.m. on Saturday, but said she was able to describe what happened before being flown to the hospital.
