Emerson Begolly, 22, of Redbank pleaded guilty in August to soliciting terrorist acts on a pro-jihad website and carrying a firearm during a scuffle with federal agents in January 2011.

    Laurel: To Armstrong Judge James Panchik. The judge ruled Apollo Police Chief Paul Breznican could not take a seat on the borough council because of a clear conflict of interest between his job and his elected position. Specifically, Panchik said, as a member of council, Breznican would then be his boss's boss, as borough Manager Lori Weig-Tamasy manages the police department. And he certainly intends to fire her. Panchik's ruling has been appealed.
